Spinosaurs Are Bigger And Meaner And Badder

Stan Winston, the special animatronic effects manager in the 'Jurrasic Park' series, recently talked to Cinescape about 'Jurrasic Park 3'.

"One of the big things [the JP III team decided] was, 'Well, we've got to out-do the T-rex," says Jurassic Park/Lost World vet Stan Winston, who is once again creating life-sized dinosaurs for the production. He says they had to outdo the T-Rex from the previous two films, "So the Spinosaur is bigger and meaner and badder."

JP3 is to be a more of a thriller than the others, and so the Dinosaurs are to be more menacing. The actors are going to be attacked from all angles. They are going into new grounds talks Winston:

"You're going to see Pteranodons [a breed of flying dinosaur] in this, which are entirely another level of technical difficulty because we are dealing with a combination of animatronics, men in suits [and] wings that are beyond what we've done in the other movies," Winston says.
