William H. Macy Talks Jurassic 3

William H. Macy spoke with E!Online about filming 'Jurassic Park III':

"I've never done one of these [big-budget, special-effects features], and I've always wanted to--it's Hollywood at its pinnacle," says William H. Macy, who joins Sam Neill and Téa Leoni in the summer's anxiously anticipated Jurassic Park III. He can't say much about the hush-hush plot, but Macy does reveal that his character's son "gets trapped on one of these dinosaur-riddled islands, the plane touches down, someone gets eaten and we've been running ever since."

Even with T-rexes and velociraptors nipping at his heels during the arduous shoot, "It turned out to be one of the funnest things I've done in years," says the Oscar-nominated actor. "I can't tell you what it's like to be someplace where the best and brightest are doing the best work they've ever done. It's mind-boggling."

Macy managed to remain upbeat despite the fact that on some 13-hour days, the cast and crew only shot a quarter-page of script...on sets spread over seven soundstages on the Universal lot. Sometimes, they'd shoot for just four days on a set that cost $7 million to build. "Look, the CGI will be better than it's ever been," Macy says. "And we've got a good plot."
