Thewlis Joins Ridley Scotts 'Kindom Of Heaven'

David Thewlis (Timeline) has also joined the cast of the 12th century epic Kingdom of Heaven, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It is being directed by Ridley Scott.

The movie centers on a young peasant (played by Orlando Bloom), who becomes a knight, saves a kingdom and falls in love with a princess. Thewlis will play a priest named Hospitaller. Liam Neeson recently joined the cast as Bloom's father.

Thewlis can be seen in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Production starts in January and will shoot in Spain and Morocco.
