Joel Silver & Shane Black To Make 'Kiss, Bang'

Lethal Weapon makers Shane Black and Joel Silver are reuniting once more to make Warner Bros' Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang, according to Variety.

The project, which will see Black making his directing debut, is an action comedy that will star Robert Downey Jr., Val Kilmer and Michelle Monaghan. Downey plays a thief posing as an actor who teams up with a tough-guy private eye (Kilmer) and a frustrated actress (Monaghan). They stumble upon a murder.

"This has a great noir feel, and when was the last time there was a wonderful detective story set in L.A. that was not a period piece?" said Kilmer on the project.

Production is expected to start next week, with all shooting taking place at night.
