Miramax Films Take On French 'Les Choristes'
[Monday, February 16th, 2004]Miramax Films have bought the rights to writer and helmer Christophe Barratier's Les Choristes, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The movie is a French-language period piece about a music teacher who finds himself assigned to a correctional boarding school.
Penned by Barratier with Philippe Lopes-Curval, "Choristes" is set in 1948 and centers on the teacher's mission to change his pupils' lives by acquainting them with the magic and power of music after he is stunned by his new school's harsh realities.
