Robert Rodat To Adapt 'The Last Town On Earth'
[Friday, October 7th, 2005]Oscar-nominated writer Robert Rodat has been hired by DreamWorks Pictures to adapt Thomas Mullen's novel The Last Town on Earth, says the Hollywood Reporter.
The story is set in 1918, and tells the tale of how a small rural town reels when a self-imposed quarantine fails to keep an influenza epidemic at bay and the foundations of life and mortality come apart at the sea.
Rodat received his Oscar nomination for his work on 'Saving Private Ryan'.
