Walt Disney To Make 'Lion, Witch, Wardrobe'

Walt Disney has struck a deal with Walden Media to make and distribute The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The movie, helmed by 'Shrek' director Andrew Adamson, is the first installment of 'Chronicles of Narnia' franchise based on the series of children's fantasy books by C.S. Lewis.

The project has an estimated $100 million budget and begins shooting this summer for a Christmas 2005 release.
