Roberts As Free Spirited Teacher

Oscar winning Julia Roberts is to star in 'Mona Lisa Smile,' reports The Hollywood Reporter. Although no director is yet on board, the project is to go into production in the spring.

Written by Larry Konner and Mark Rosenthal, the project is described as being in the vein of 'Dead Poets Society.' It's about a free-spirited UC Berkeley graduate who goes to Wellesley in 1953 to teach a group of young women. Both teacher and students end up influencing and learning from each other.

Julia next movie is 'Oceans Eleven' in which Steven Sodenbergh helmed the project.
