Paramount Beats Others For 'Northfork'
[Friday, June 28th, 2002]Paramount Classics has beaten several other suitors for English-lingo and Latin American rights to Michael and Mark Polish's feature "Northfork," reports Variety
The movie stars Nick Nolte, James Woods, Anthony Edwards and Daryl Hannah.
In "Northfork," a town is destined to disappear underwater forever with the construction of a new dam. Salesmen compete to convince longtime residents to abandon their homesteads. Meanwhile, a dying orphan dreams of escape with a band of eccentrics who are actually angels.
Michael Polish, who made "Twin Falls Idaho" with his brother Mark, helmed "Northfork" solo. Mark co-starred.
