Christian Bale, Thewlis Join 'The New World'
[Monday, July 5th, 2004]Christian Bale, David Thewlis, Noah Taylor and Q'orianka Kilcher are joining the cast of Terrence Malick's epic The New World, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The quartet join Colin Farrell, Christopher Plummer, August Schellenberg and Wes Studi in the project.
The New World is described as an epic adventure set amid the encounter of European and Native American cultures following the founding of the Jamestown settlement in 1607 and inspired by the legend of John Smith and Pocahontas.
