'Romeo Must Die' Director To Guide 'Pathfinder'

Action helmer Andrzej Bartkowiak ("Romeo Must Die") has come aboard to direct Paramount Pictures' action feature "Pathfinder," reports The Hollywood Reporter.

"Pathfinder," written by George Nolfi, is a cat-and-mouse picture about a military operative known as a pathfinder who must track down a rival pathfinder and keep him from wreaking havoc.

The project has garnered interest from such high-profile talent as actors Sean Connery, Michael Douglas, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson and Nicolas Cage and directors Christian Duguay, Jan de Bont and Martin Campbell.

A 2003 start date is being planned.
