Rebecca Miller Gets More 'Proof' For Paltrow
[Monday, November 18th, 2002]Filmmaker Rebecca Miller has signed on to do a rewrite of "Proof" for Miramax Films and director John Madden, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The big-screen adaptation of the Pulitzer- and Tony-winning play by David Auburn, "Proof" is expected to reteam "Shakespeare in Love" director Madden and star Gwyneth Paltrow, who are also vets from the play's London production.
Said Miller of the "Proof" assignment: "When I met with the director John Madden, we got along very well. I was looking for a job that was interesting to me, but I was also interested in a job where I was just the writer, so I'm really looking forward to it."
