Guillermo Del Toro Goes Into 'The Pans Labyrinth'
[Monday, May 17th, 2004]Guillermo del Toro |
Guillermo is to write and direct the spanish-lingo movie, which is set in 1942 Spain. Casting is set to begin in July.
"As with other films, we're giving the director a lot of freedom and making a film that we hope will reach the whole world," producers said.
"Guillermo's return to Spanish filmmaking isn't really a question of making a big film or a small one, so much as freedom. He certainly wanted to do Hellboy, " producers said. " Pan's Labyrinth will give him more freedom, however."
The movie is to go into pre-production in September and will shoot most likely in Argentina.
