Ariel Vroman Takes On 'RX Sin Receta'

Ariel Vroman has signed on to direct the indie drug drama RX Sin Receta, says the Hollywood Reporter.

The project, starring Eric Balfour, Colin Hanks and Lauren German, centers on a financially desperate young man (Balfour) who decides to cross the border into Mexico with his girlfriend (German) and best friend (Hanks) in order to smuggle pharmaceuticals back across the border.

Other cast signed on include Alan Tudyk, Ori Pfeffer and Danny Pino. Tudyk and Pfeffer play two guys who live in Baja running an illegal business, with Pino playing a mechanic in Tijuana. Shooting is scheduled to start Monday in New Mexico.
