Katherine Heigl Joins Johnny Knoxville In 'The Ringer'

'Roswell' star Katherine Heigl is to star opposite Johnny Knoxville in Fox Searchlight's The Ringer, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

'Ringer' sees Knoxville's character posing as a mentally disabled man competing in the Special Olympics in order to pay off a debt and dethrone reigning champ Jimmy. Heigl will star as the love interest of Knoxville's character.

The project, which was scripted by the Farrelly brothers, will see Barry Blaustein direct.
