Brandos' $2 Million 'Scary Movie 2' Cameo

Marlon Brando is to take $2 Million for his cameo role in the upcoming spoof 'Scary Movie 2'.

He'll work four days. He'll perform an exorcism. He'll mumble a few words. He may even get killed, say Variety.

The Weinstein brothers' Dimension Films will readily pay the freight: They want an eye-popping stunt to open "Scary Movie 2." The hugely successful "Scream" series featured glitzy cameos -- which were mocked in the original "Scary Movie" -- and Dimension co-chairman Bob Weinstein said that Brando will continue the tradition.

According to the trades sources, Brando will play a priest who performs a supernatural exorcism at the beginning of the movie.

Charlton Heston was approached but declined; the filmmakers then took a long shot by approaching Brando, who shocked them when he sparked to the idea. Brando read his scene and invited director Keenen Ivory Wayans to his house for a long meeting.

Brando joins an ensemble cast topped by Shawn and Marlon Wayans, Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Tori Spelling, Kathleen Robertson, Andy Richter, Christopher Masterson, Chris Elliott, Tim Curry, David Cross, Natasha Lyonne and Richard Moll.

The film is slated to be released by Dimension on July 4. The original "Scary Movie" generated the highest grosses in Miramax/Dimension history.
