Denise Richards Recruited For 'Scary Movie 3'

Actress Denise Richards has been cast alongside real-life husband Charlie Sheen in the third installment in the Dimension Films horror-spoof franchise, Scary Movie 3.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the film is being rushed into production soon after Revolution Studio announced plans for a sci-fi/fantasy parody from Keenan Ivory, Marlon and Shawn Wayans, who defected from Dimension after creating and starring in the first two "Scary Movie" pictures.

The Miramax genre division is putting its foot on the gas to be first to the screen with the movie and pop-culture spoof, previous installments of which collectively grossed $228 million in the United States. The third edition will be the first in the series not to star the Wayans brothers.
