Elizabeth Banks Gets 'Seabiscuit' Lead
[Monday, October 7th, 2002]Elizabeth Banks has nabbed the only femme role in "Seabiscuit," which stars Tobey Maguire, Jeff Bridges and Chris Cooper, reports Variety.
Banks will portray the wife of Seabiscuit owner Charles Howard (Bridges). Gary Ross will direct the pic.
Banks previously worked with Maguire on "Spider-Man" and will be seen in the upcoming "Swept Away" as well as "Catch Me if You Can." Credits also include roles in "Shaft" and "Wet Hot American Summer."
