Natalie Portman On 'Star Wars 3' Reshoots
[Thursday, July 22nd, 2004]Natalie Portman, who plays Padme Amidala in Star Wars: Episode III, says she is set for reshoots next month with director George Lucas. "I haven't been told anything, so for all I know, it could be [simply] walking or an insert shot of my hands, or it could be a whole new storyline," Portman told Sci-Fi Wire. "So I will be as surprised as you are."
Portman says that co-star Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker) is more comfortable in this movie than the previous one. "Because it's such a different kind of movie, because of all the blue screen, you'd have to imagine so much," she said. "You'd have to create other characters and locations and sets in your mind. So it's a lot more work, and it was really challenging. [Now], each of us had had experience on a Star Wars film before."
