Josh Hartnett Top Contender For 'Superman' Role
[Friday, February 14th, 2003]
The actor is said to have screen tested Tuesday, and sources say that Warners president and chief operating officer Alan Horn, production president Jeff Robinov and Ratner were supposed to watch the tape Wednesday night in New York.
No word has come down on the outcome of the reported viewing, but Hartnett's looks and acting ability are being reported as not to be factors as to whether he'd star as the caped crusader. Rather, the negotiation of the deal and the commitment to doing three consecutive features are said to be bigger issues. Until the outcome for Hartnett is resolved, no other actors are expected to test for the role.
