Tartan Films Takes On Hungarian 'Taxidermia'
[Tuesday, November 14th, 2006]Tartan Films has bought the domestic US rights to the hallucinogenic Hungarian film Taxidermia, says the Hollywood Reporter.
The grotesque tale uses special effects to track three generations of men, including an award-winning obese speed eater, an embalmer of gigantic cats and a man who shoots fire out of his penis.
"The film is really out there," said Tartan's Laura DeCasto. "It's inventive, provocative and unique even among specialized films."
