Jon Voight Talks Tomb Raider 2

Jon Voight spoke with columist Cindy Pearlman where he told her that he's a shoo-in for a role in his daughter Angelina Jolie's upcoming "Tomb Raider 2." "They're writing it right now, and I'm like, 'Angie, is there something for your dad?' "

Didn't that character die in the first one? Not to quibble, but ...

"Look, I was dead through most of the first one, and that was no big deal," Voight said. "I could talk to her from the Great Beyond."

Meanwhile, Voight soon will find his name up in lights for his role as sportscaster Howard Cosell in the biopic "Ali," which also opens Christmas Day. Hollywood insiders say Voight, an Oscar winner for "Coming Home" (1977), could win again for "Ali."
