Angelina Jolie has had to interupt shooting the sequel to "Tomb Raider 2" after her adopted son was rushed to hospital after a mystery accident, reports Ananova.

She was filming the latest Lara Croft offering in Snowdonia when her 13-month-old son Maddox was injured.

The actress has spent the last week filming the "Tomb Raider" sequel, subtitled Cradle of Life, in Snowdonia.

The film is set in China but movie bosses were refused permission to film there by the Chinese authorities.

Instead they built a replica Chinese peasant village on the shores of Llyn Gwynant and will later digitally enhance the background.

The baby was taken 90 miles to Alder Hey children's hospital in Liverpool by ambulance and treated there for three days.

She also confirmed that Ms Jolie, 27, had spent time at her son's bedside and thanked hospital staff for their care.
