Australian Stephan Elliott To Direct 'Venetian Wedding'
[Thursday, June 5th, 2003]Australian Stephan Elliott will direct the comedy Venetian Wedding for WT2, according to the Hollywood Reporter. WT2 is the low-budget division of Working Title.
'Wedding' is based on the true events of Australia's fairy tale royal wedding between a Byzantine prince and a Sydney socialite. Meant to be on par with the marriage of England's Prince Charles and Diana Spencer, this wedding went horribly awry.
The project aims to begin production in Australia in December.
