Camilla Belle Stars In 'When A Stranger Calls'

Camilla Belle has been cast in remake of When a Stranger Calls, to be directed by Simon West, according to Variety.

Jake Wade Wall penned the remake of the 1979 Columbia Pictures cult horror pic, which starred Carol Kane as a high school student traumatized while babysitting by a caller who repeatedly asks, "Have you checked the children lately?" After notifying the police, she is told that the calls are coming from inside the house.

Belle will star in the role played by Kane. Shooting is scheduled for mid-July.
