Al Pacino In Remake 'Witness For The Prosecution'

Al Pacino is in talks to star in the remake of the classic courtroom drama Witness for the Prosecution, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Based on the Agatha Christie play, which was filmed in 1957 with Billy Wilder at the helm and Charles Laughton as the lead attorney in a case in which a wife appears as a witness for the prosecution against her husband.

Robert Benton (The Human Stain) has shown interest in directing the movie, and Pacino decision on starring will most likely depend on choice of director.
