Keanu Reeves Front Runner For 'Constantine'

Warner Bros. president-chief operating officer Alan Horn talked about their plans on "'Constantine," reports Variety"Constantine": The light on this film went from green to red after "The Cell" director Tarsem dropped out of the project (a move that inspired dueling lawsuits from Tarsem and Warners, both of which have since been settled). Nicolas Cage was to star in the comicbook adaptation; the current star candidate is "Matrix" hero Keanu Reeves, but no deal can be made until a new director is nailed.
This movie is fighting for a 2004 release slot between many other Warner Bros. projects. If won it will join second installment of "Scooby-Doo" and "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"
