Gutierrez Gets Deal For Gothika
[Monday, June 3rd, 2002]Warner Bros. Pictures has picked up the pitch "Gothika" from writer-director Sebastian Gutierrez ("Judas Kiss") to be produced under Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis' Dark Castle banner, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
"Gothika," which Gutierrez will write and direct, is a ghost story about a female psychiatrist who wakes up as a patient at the asylum where she works.
Silver and Zemeckis are producing with executives Steve Richards and Susan Levin overseeing on behalf of Dark Castle.
He also wrote "The Big Bounce," which is in development at Warners with George Armitage attached to direct.
