Jeff Nathanson To Rewrite 'Indiana Jones 4'
[Wednesday, October 27th, 2004]
Frank Darabont had previously written a script for the project in February, but Lucas, Spielberg and Ford hadn't given it a unanimous thumbs-up. Paramount Pictures then called off a planned summer production start.
Due to the set back, Spielberg moved on to make War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise, while George Lucas worked on finishing his Star Wars trilogy with Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. Ford is now working with Paul Bettany on The Wrong Element.
Nathanson has previously worked with Spielberg on projects including Catch Me If You Can and The Terminal.
