Garrett Hedlund Joins 'Troy' All-Star Cast

Newcomer Garrett Hedlund has joined the all-star cast of Warner Bros. Troy, according to Hollywood Reporter.

The project, helmed by Wolfgang Petersen, starts production on April 22, though the exact location has yet to be determined as the original Moroccan location will likely be changed because of the possibility of a war with Iraq.

The big-budget movie is based on 'The Iliad', Homer's epic account of the Trojan War, and sees Eric Bana star as Hector, a prince of Troy, opposite Brad Pitt's Achilles. Hedlund will play Patroclus, Achilles' teenage cousin who has warrior aspirations.

'Troy' will be hitting theaters May 21st, 2004.
