Movies
Intermedia have bought the rights to a German comedy "Alles Bob!"(Everything Bob!). Ridley Scott and Tony Scott's Scott Free Prods. are to make the english version of the Otto Alexander Jahrreiss film. Here is a synopsis from IMDB:
Bob, a sympathetic young man, keeps telling women what they want to hear to get good times. When he is about to marry the daughter of a very well-situated banker, her father does a little research on his future son-in-law and finds out the truth about Bob. He then forces Bob to marry his daughter and to be the perfect husband, or else... Unfortunately, Bob meets "the one" just a few days before the wedding. His problem: He also had told her what she had wanted to hear. His other problem: His future wife does not know yet. His third problem: Two very protective brothers of one of his past affairs are after him to take revenge for him taking her virginity - and the Turks are very sincere when it comes to a little virginity.

The Hollywood Reporter reports:
A screenwriter has not yet been tapped to write the English-language version for Scott Free, which has a second-look deal with Intermedia. Scott Free's first-look deal is with Bruckheimer Films.

Giannina Facio, who brought the project to Scott Free, will produce the project with the company. Intermedia senior vp production Julie Golden and Scott Free president Lisa Ellzey are overseeing the project for their companies.

Jahrreiss discussed the project Wednesday at the Berlin International Film Festival. "I am eager to work with Ridley Scott and Scott Free," Jahrreiss said. "They appreciate my directing style, which is very distinct."

Jahrreiss is in Berlin presenting his latest film, "Zoom," a twisted love story involving a Romanian call girl and a German voyeur, screening in the Panorama series at the festival.

Ridley Scott, who was nominated Tuesday for a best director Academy Award for DreamWorks/Universal Pictures "Gladiator," and Jahrreiss were scheduled to hold a joint news conference Sunday to make the "Bob!" announcement, but Scott was unable to attend because of the death of his mother last week. Scott was off to Morocco on Wednesday to start production on his next directorial effort, "Black Hawk Down" for Revolution Studios.
