Durst Tackles School Violence

'Limp Bizkit' lead singer, Fred Durst, says he wants to tackle the violence plaguing the US school system in his forthcoming filmmaking debut, 'Runts'. The film tells the story of a high-school outcast.

On school violence, Durst says: "Crazy things are happening that don't need to be happening, and people are retaliating in the wrong way.

"There are so many movie studios that are scared to touch subject matter like this, but I think it's real... I think it will help people understand the underdog. This movie needs to happen now."

Production on the film is likely to be delayed until autumn due to the strikes threatening to hit Hollywood in the summer.
