Hayden Christensen, who can now be seen on screen as the young Darth Vader in "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clines' is said to be in negotiations to play a disgraced journalist in the fact-based drama "Shattered Glass", according to Variety.

The Lions Gate Films project tells the story of Stephen Glass, who was briefly one of the most sought-after reporters in Washington, D.C. A 25-year-old rising star who contributed to Rolling Stone and was a staff writer for The New Republic, Glass made up sources, quotes, and often, entire stories. It was later discovered that during his nearly three-year tenure at the Republic, he made up portions of 27 of his 41 stories.

Craig Baumgarten, one of the film's producers, found the original story on Glass' misdeeds in a Vanity Fair article, and brought it to scribe Billy Ray ("Hart's War"), who wrote the script and will make his directing debut on the project.
