Madonna On 'Love, Sex, Drugs And Money'

Movies
Jo Whiley had an exclusive interview with Madonna on her Radio 1 show in the UK. They talked about all kinds of things including the new film by her hubby Guy Ritchie('Snatch'), 'Love, Sex, Drugs and Money.' here's an extract from it:

With the film, it's called 'Love, Sex, Drugs and Money'?
So far. Guy has been known to change his mind.

Is it completed yet?
They're editing it right now.

Where did you film it?
In Malta and Sardinia

So, it was an enjoyable experience working on the film?
Yeah, it was great working with my husband and the crew were amazing, we were one big wacky family. It was very strenuous and very challenging, it was good.

In what way was it challenging?
Everything we shot was outside, so we were at the mercy of whatever Mother Nature had to give to us. Everyday we would pray for sun. Also we had to pretend it was hot and sunny when it was starting to get cold and I had to get in the ocean a lot - my goodness it was cold.

Tell me what role you're playing.
I'm playing a very rich, privileged, unhappy, unhappily married, woman who has an epiphany so to speak when she gets shipwrecked on an island with someone she considers to be her inferior.

Who is?
He's played by an Italian actor called Adriano Gianini and he's very good.

It's actually a remake of a film from 1974, isn't it?
Yes, but it's actually quite different than the original at this point.

Is this Guy's spin on it?
Yeah, absolutely, terribly politically incorrect

In what way?
Oh, I'm not gonna tell you, you'll have to see the movie. It's really good though, really good.

You're really happy with it?
Yeah, I mean I'm not editing or the director of it, but from what I've seen and the experience of doing it seems like it's good.

Do you get a sense of when something's going really well?
Yeah, I've been wrong before but I have a good feeling about this
