Boyle To Direct 28 Days Later

Director of 'The Beach' and 'Trainspotting' Danny Boyle will next shoot the $15 million sci-fi movie '28 Days Later,' reports Variety. This isn't the sequel to Sandra Bullock's '28 Days'.

The movie is scripted by Alex Garlandabout ('The Beach'), which is about a group of Londoners who survive a virus that wipes out the rest of the population.

Filming is expected to shoot in August, regardless of possible writers' and actors' strikes in the United States this summer.

"It's a story which can be told without stars," said producer Andrew Macdonald.
