British director Danny Boyle has backed out of plans to helm the suspense thriller 'Tick Tock', report Popcorn

The 'Trainspotting' director had been expected to mark his cinematic comeback, but is said to have pulled out over "creative differences".

The film, penned by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry, follows an amnesiac who wakes up in FBI custody accused of a series of bombings in Los Angeles. Despite lack of memory, the suspect has to help a young FBI agent race around the city trying to work out where he left his other devices. Oh, and all the while he's trying to remember whether it was in fact him who planted them.

There's no word on who will replace Boyle, or what the British director plans to do instead. Jennifer Lopez was interested to star in this film after she wraps up "Enough".
