Boyle To Direct Bomb Flick

Movies
Danny Boyle is to direct 'Tick Tock' for Columbia Pictures. Its his first full feature film since 'The Beach'. 'The Beach' wasn't well received although it did do moderately OK in the box office.

'Tick Tock' is a movie about a bomber who is randomly bombing LA. The bomber, an amnesiac, is caught by the FBI and is the prime suspect. The bomber then helps a FBI agent to track down and disarm the bombs, in a race against time.

Boyle has although made two TV movies for the BBC, 'Strumpet' and 'Vacuuming Completely Nude in Paradise', both were written by Jim Cartwright.

He has also split with the 'Trainspotting' team, who he had worked with on nearly all of his projects. Andrew Macdonald and John Hodge who had begun working with Boyle since 'Shallow Grave' and then went on to make the famous 'Trainspotting'. Their success had been going slowly as 'A Life Less Ordinary' was moderate hit and so was 'The Beach'. Hodge wrote the script to 'The Final Curtain' for director Patrick Harkins, and Macdonald is the executive producer.
